Waiting for the Silence to Speak

Let the Silence speak, they say.
Just Wait for that moment when the silence speaks.
Let it invade your mind, suffocate your thoughts.
But when will you decide that you’re finished?
When I’ve already disappeared, already cleared the edge?
Sever these ties that keep me tethered to pointless anguish,
The ones that keep me suspended between confusion and silence
The silence, is it speaking yet?
I can’t hear it.
My heart is speaking; beating, jumping, stopping.
My hands are speaking; shaking, holding, stilling.
But the silence?
Nothing.
Wait
Wait
Wait
Wait for the silence to speak.
